The father of Van Thian Rin Sang passed away during COVID, and though her mother is still alive, she was not able to care for the children. Their entire village was burned down, leaving the family with no school to attend and nowhere to live. In 2021, her mother sent her and her sibling, Lal San Cer, to an orphanage in Yangon. Due to difficulties there, and with other siblings already at Love Children Home, the two of them moved here for a better life and a better future.
