When the parents of Pan Ling divorced, she stayed with her mother. Her mother struggled to provide for her in every way, and as the situation in the country worsened and buildings in their village were burned, she was no longer able to attend school. Her mother made the decision to send her to Miracle Home so that she could have a better future. She enjoys playing soccer with the other children and hopes to become a doctor someday.
