Lai Ki Bu and her sibling, Naing Ki Bu, are from Chin State. Their father was injured while hunting, and the injury was believed to have developed into cancer. After going untreated for a long time, he passed away from the cancer in 2019. Her mother tried her best to care for her children after his death, but due to the situation in the country, she could no longer feed them. She left her children with their grandparents and went to Malaysia in 2022. As their grandparents grew very old, they were no longer able to care for the children, so they sent them to us at Grace Children Home. Lai Ki Bu loves dancing and studying English in school, and she hopes to become a doctor someday to help people.
