Khin Maung Yee was born on September 17th, 2005. He arrived at the orphanage in 2014, when he was 8 years old. His parents divorced, and both remarried. He moved to live with his grandparents, but they became too old to care of him. Due to the civil war, his grandparents sent him to Love Children Home so he could go to school and have a better life. He already has one brother, Khin Maung Hla, at the orphanage.
