His father was beaten up so badly by soldiers until he was permanently disabled.  His father can no longer work to take care of his family. Schools in Jacob's area have been close for three years now due to the military fighting. He has not been able to attend school or provide for his daily needs. That is why they send him to Grace Children Home. He likes to play soccer with the other kids and would like to become a doctor.
