While her mother was still pregnant with her, the father of Aye Myat Phoo Thwe had an affair, then left and never came back. Her mother raised her alone, working at a clothing factory to support them. But as conditions in the country grew more difficult, she was no longer able to care for her on her own, and decided to send her to LCH for a better life and future.
